At home, we cherish bedtime. After our kids have had a bath, brushed their teeth, and read a story, I tuck them in bed and say “Sweet Dreams, Sweet Love” every night.
I have always felt that sleep affects their mood and gives them a better disposition to tackle their day and succeed at school.

Research shows that a good night sleep is the key to good health. It helps children fight obesity, boost their immune system, promotes growth, strengthens their heart and reduces injury risk.

When kids get less sleep (during school vacations, over the holidays or when they stay up late watching TV), not only are they cranky and clumsy but they seem less focused. A good night sleep increases their attention span and helps them succeed in school.
Getting enough sleep isn’t easy. We all have busy schedules, but we need to learn that having a routine that promotes a good night sleep filled with sweet dreams is as important as exercising and eating healthy.
